Jamie Abraham

Since I was little, I’ve wanted to own properties and rent them. My grandpa did it, and it seemed like a great idea for me, too! I bought my first house in 2008, and have bought another one about every 2 years since. My realtor (Amy [brickandbanister.com/amy) finally convinced me to get my license in 2018, and this journey has been amazing!

When I’m not realtoring, I work on my own flips. I like being involved in the entire process, from demo and design, to putting it together and seeing the after.

Considering my personal history in real estate, I would consider rentals, flips, and houses that might just need some updating my specialties. I absolutely love working with young people who really don’t think they can buy, let alone start investing (but they can!). I also love like minded people who are willing to put in work now, maybe sacrificing some must haves, to work toward their goal of either buying multiple properties, or just getting enough equity to use to buy their dream house.

What I find most exciting about real estate is how much (and actually how simple) it can be to help you get ahead! There are ways to get into real estate with little down, and with a bit of motivation and work, you can also build a small (or large!) portfolio.

My favorite kind of house is an old—like 1800’s old—house with solid bones. They don’t make them like they used to anymore! I think because of this, older neighborhoods are my favorite. I love St. Paul and north/south/eastern suburbs.

If I could live anywhere though, it would be in New Zealand—the Nelson area. My husband and I have been there twice, and they were my favorite vacation days. We spent a couple days hiking and climbing to a little beach, went to a winery, and we went skydiving in that area, too. I love how you can go from the beach, to a glacier, to a humid forest (and sooo much more) in just a short drive. There is so much to see and do! My husband and I have talked about buying an RV and traveling the states when our two boys are a little older, but that New Zealand type of environment would be amazing to explore for more than a couple weeks!

As a hobby, our family likes boating in the summer. We camp on our boat as much as we can when it’s nice out! I also like building things when I actually have time!

I am a fantastic resource for anyone who is in the process of buying or selling a house that may need a little (or a lot!) of work, as well as those interested in purchasing their own investment properties. I can’t wait to help you see your own visions come to fruition!
