Jo Hanson, REALTOR
I’ve always loved real estate and interior design. After buying my first property in the UK after graduating university in 2003, I went on to buy, renovate and sell another six properties in the UK before leaving to move to Minnesota in 2015 with my husband and two dogs.

My husband and I bought a fixer upper in North Oaks and spent 7 years renovating it with the spare money we had leftover from our corporate jobs each month. I worked in Marketing and my husband in IT.
In 2021 we made the move to the west metro to be nearer to my new job. After a turbulent few months of loosing my job, getting pregnant with our first baby, and renovating my 9th home. I decided it was time to go full time into real estate and live my dream.

Since 2020 my husband and I have been investing in real estate for short term rentals. We have a brand of properties called The Hygge Suite – which embodies the mission of “helping people create magic memories with their loved ones”. I definitely found my calling in life, and enjoy every aspect of being an investor and host. I loved it so much that’s why I got my license to help others do what I did and create a side income for themselves through real estate.
