Brick & Banister Home

I was working in corporate America, and realized that the time was now or never to fulfill my dream of becoming not only a business owner, but passionate about the work I was doing. So, I got my real estate license in Minnesota and Wisconsin (where my license is held with Property Executives Realty in Hudson), while simultaneously getting my diploma in Interior Design and starting DZ Design Hausmy interior design business.

My husband (an Engineer) and I also invest in real estate and are DIY experts when it comes to renovating and revitalizing older homes. I love high end and new builds as well, but get a sense of joy from making something cookie cutter or “ugly” into something unique and beautiful.

Our goal as a couple is to have at least 10 rentals in the next 5 years, and to do at least 1 flip every year (although I can see that goal expanding as we go).

When it comes to working in real estate, I’m most excited  about seeing the potential in properties and helping clients understand that good bones and the right vision can make any property their dream home. I love that my design business, real estate licenses, and our investment business are all cohesive and synergistic

I am all about family and spend as much time as possible with my 5 younger siblings!  Yes, I’m the oldest of 6, with the youngest two being 4 and almost 6. My parents have done foster care for years, and we adopted the little boys when they were babies. We all love going to the lake house, pontooning, and watching/playing baseball in the summertime.

I love to read and am constantly learning (I try to read at least one fiction and one educational book per week, if time allows). I love the Lord, coffee, fashion and beauty, creating beautiful design, and a glass of red winedoesn’t get much more basic than that 😉

My favorite style of home is the prairie/Frank Lloyd Wright style. They really hit on my love for modern, yet warm and comfortable design. Specifically, I love white homes with black trim and warm wood accents.

If I could live anywhere, I would love to live somewhere warmer. Texas has always been appealing to me and my love of wide-open space and a lot of land. So I guess my dream home would be about 4,000 square feet of white brick, with black windows and trim work, warm wood garage doors and beams throughout, set on about 5+ acres of rolling land with mature trees and beautiful views of the sunset. Not to get too specific 😉

I look forward to helping you find and create your dream space. Reach out and let’s get started!
