Susie Sanchez

I’ve had the real estate bug since I was a kid, but it wasn’t until my husband and I started buying and selling our own properties that I knew I had to step up my game and become a realtor.

We bought our first home, a small single family, in the Hamline-Midway neighborhood of Saint Paul in 2013. After welcoming our second child, we decided to take a leap of faith and buy an owner-occupied duplex in the nearby South Como neighborhood to reduce our housing costs.

We decided to keep our single family home and convert it to a rental, and just like that, we became overnight landlords (x2!).

In the fall of 2018 our family had grown again and we were getting restless and cramped in our duplex. When a beautiful historic fixer-upper popped on the market at a steal a few blocks from St. Paul’s Grand Avenue, we jumped on it and managed to get it under contract with a home renovation mortgage. We demoed the kitchen and two bathrooms down to the studs with the renovation funds and happily moved in a few months later.

While I love hunting around all corners of the Twin Cities for homes with buyers and sellers, I’m especially excited to help clients in and around Saint Paul. I just can’t get enough of the workmanship and historical charm of the century-old houses that dominate many areas of the City. With the exception of a tropical poolside retreat somewhere much warmer than Minnesota, the original detail and stunning woodwork found in the Twin Cities make these turn-of-the century homes my personal favorite.

My favorite thing about real estate is that owning property opens up so many possibilities for the regular, everyday person that are often not otherwise possible. Property ownership has changed my life and provided an opportunity for my family to grow financially in a way we never could have achieved through our 9-5 jobs alone. Whether you want to purchase your forever home right off the bat or house-hack your way through a series of properties, it’s possible in real estate.

That is why I’m so passionate about helping others, especially first time house buyers and investors, who want to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Let’s get together and chat about all of the possibilities that are out there for you, too!
